R3UA
RESCUE, REUNITE and REBUILD UKRAINE is a multi-phased effort to ensure Ukraine and its people have a bright future as an independent, sustainable nation. We are helping by Rescuing citizens; Reuniting families with each other and Ukrainians with their country; and Rebuilding the nation’s economic and social infrastructures.
Rescue
The first phase of this effort is focused on relief efforts for Ukrainian children & families both inside and outside of the country. It’s estimated that as many as five million people will flee Ukraine in the coming months which leaves almost 40 million people in Ukraine, while one-quarter of citizens have been forced to flee their homes. Helping both displaced refugees and those who remain in Ukraine will be the largest relief effort in Europe since World War II.
Reunite
The second phase focuses on reuniting families and repatriating Ukrainians. The war has ripped apart families both inside and outside of Ukraine as citizens are separated from their homes and loved ones. The invasion has forced many Ukrainians to flee to neighboring countries with the desire to return to their homes as soon as possible.
Rebuild Ukraine
The final phase of this effort will focus on rebuilding Ukraine’s economic and social infrastructure to build a sustainable nation. This phase shifts from relief to investment. The Ukrainian people will need support as they rebuild their homes, communities, and economy to transition from dependence on foreign aid to an independent future.
